RVC SHINES AT NVHS CAR SHOW

Saturday, April 14th,  kicked off the 2012 season for RVC members at North Valley High School’s annual car show where we had a strong showing of 20 beautiful corvettes (and one classic Chevy). RVC came away with two trophies and one plaque. The SkillsUSA kids did a wonderful job and had a great turn out with a wide variety of cars. They showcased their ‘works of art’ in the silent auction and had a crafts show going on in the gym. We were told at the end of the day that they raised $2,000 which will help them as they leave Thursday for Portland to compete in the State Competition.
At the end of the car show we headed out for a cruise along the Rogue River, driving down past Galice Resort and into the “Wild and Scenic” section of the river. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day for members to take the cars out and have a bit of fun driving. Upon our return to the school we were joined by even more members and we held RVC’s monthly meeting, followed by a BBQ and pot luck with plenty of food for everyone to enjoy.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day to start the season; sunshine, good food, good friends and great cars!
